The Invisible Danger Microplastics

For many years, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Temel has been conducting research on plastics and their harmful effects, compiling his findings in numerous books. In this talk, which will be held in person on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Institute of Population Studies Building Conference Hall, Temel will address the harmful effects of plastics widely used in daily life—from clothing to food—on human health, including their carcinogenic impacts, as highlighted in his book Naylon Aşkı Öldürür (Nylon Kills Love). The talk will also discuss misconceptions about plastics, and highlight the pollution and carcinogenic factors to which we are unknowingly exposed.
