Nowadays, as the effects of environmental problems on living beings continue to increase rapidly, it has become increasingly important for individuals to develop awareness and consciousness in this regard. Finding solutions to these issues is a matter that requires the thought and effort of every individual. In this context, the Hacettepe University Sustainable Campuses Coordinatiorship has planned a comprehensive training program on Environmental and Waste Management, with the first session held in various faculties in 2024. This year, the second session of the program is planned, aiming to provide Hacettepe University students and staff with the necessary knowledge, tools, and strategies to actively participate in mitigating current environmental issues and their impacts. The Environmental and Waste Management Training Series, which will continue throughout the year, will contribute to fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental management in campus life, thereby helping to build a more resilient and sustainable future for future generations.
The training program, which is planned to be conducted by Prof. Dr. Sinan ERTEN, Environmental Engineer Ali GÜNER, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dilara TÜFEKÇİOĞLU, is detailed in the attached poster. Relevant departments are strongly requested to direct as many students and staff as the venue capacity allows, along with unit waste managers (faculty and/or department), to attend the training sessions in the designated halls as specified in the program. Participation in these sessions is crucial, and e-attendance will be recorded for both students and academic/administrative staff.
