The forest vegetation area in Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus constitutes the largest part of its area and ecosystem with a rate of 73%, corresponding to an area of 4333971 m². Apart from this green area, there is also a 9% green area within the campus (mostly areas related to the building area), which includes grass areas, cultivated vegetation areas and wooded areas. Apart from the forest area, there is also a residential area surrounded by green areas, which make up 41% of the total campus area, including grass areas, cultivated vegetation areas and wooded areas. Due to the size of the natural and semi-natural area in the Beytepe campus, biodiversity can be preserved despite the intensity of pedestrian and vehicle traffic within the campus.
