Accessible Campus

A few examples of the facilities available at Hacettepe University for the disabled can be summarized as follows:

• Ramp and floor reliefs for the disabled at different locations in our Beytepe Campus,

• Special WCs for the disabled with appropriate size, equipment and ease of use,

• In terms of special opportunities for the disabled, the Certification/Qualification system of the campuses, some faculties are marked with an “orange flag” as an accessible space/space. (The certification system of Council of Higher Education (CoHE), called the “Disabled Friendly University Awards”, includes three different colored flags to qualify universities and faculties according to their interventions for the disabled.)

• Special transportation platforms for disabled people to access public transportation vehicles.

• Nursery/nursery for the children of Hacettepe University staff,

• Use of Braille alphabet in different locations and in different equipment (introductory boards, elevator boards, training opportunities, etc.)

• Disabled platforms (stages, stairs, hospitals, etc.) in different parts of Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus.

• Disabled elevators in different locations of Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus (Main Dining Hall, etc.).

• Parking area for the disabled in Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus (Geomatics Engineering building, Teknokent parking lot, etc.)

• Cross rail system and handicapped platforms on stairs at different locations of Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus.
